AB 318 (Addis) Mobilehome Residency Law Protection Act
This bill extends the pilot phase of the Mobilehome Resident Law Program Program (MRLPP) by three years. In 2018, the state enacted the Mobilehome Residency Law Act (AB 3066), which amended the Health and Safety Code to establish the Mobilehome Residency Law Protection Program (MRLPP), originally a five-year pilot program, housed within the HCD to help coordinate the resolution of complaints from homeowners relating to the Mobilehome Residency Law (MRL). The removal of the MRLPP sunset date allows a valuable tool already used by thousands of mobilehome owners to continue to help us and future mobilehome owners to feel safer and more secure.
